With the holidays right around the corner, the Realms team has been working hard to get new material ready for 2020.
The biggest update we’ve been working on is the core rulebook. There were a few aspects we weren’t fully satisfied with before launch, and we want to fix to give players the best possible experience. A few of those corrections include a few minor rule fixes that were holdovers from previous versions of the game, a rebalancing of skills, a revision of the lore, and a complete rework to the weapon system. We want each system of Realms Asunder to feel full and flushed out, and the weapon system wasn’t cutting it. We’re hoping this change brings a new playstyle into Realms, and adds depth to the game while still making it easy to pick up and play.
We’ve also completed rule creation for Spell Book II. With 125 new spells and 13 new spell enhancements, we’re hoping this will be a great addition to the base game. We still have many stages to finish before Spell Book II is ready for launch, but we’ll make sure to keep you posted on its progress. Spell Book II will be the first paid content for the Realms Asunder system. We’re still deciding on the price, but we’re aiming to keep it down, so that there isn’t a financial barrier for people who want to expand upon their game.
We’re still working on our Beasts, Monsters, and Enemies book. We’re taking our time to ensure that everything is both balanced and interesting before release. We do intend to release a free set of 25 monsters for people to be able to play with. Our goal is to have the first 25 ready to drop when the core rulebook update is finished.
There are some other projects we are working on, besides the ones mentioned above, but we’d like to keep those under wraps until they’re ready. We’ll make sure to keep you posted.
Sincerely,
The Realms Asunder Team
